Description
The Thermon TC2 and TC2/XP Plus, featuring two adjustable control thermostats, are designed for heat tracing applications requiring a high-temperature limiter. The first thermostatic switch activates the heater below the controller setpoint, while the second switch de-energizes the heater if the sensed temperature exceeds the limiter setpoint.
The TC2 is intended for wall mounting (or pipe-mounted using Thermon’s XP-1 stainless steel mounting bracket) and is equipped with a PVC-coated galvanized steel flexible capillary armor, complete with a capillary gland and insulation entry device. The TC2/XP Plus includes an expediter for easy attachment directly onto the pipe and allows one heating cable to enter and connect within the enclosure.
Indicating lamps for power-on and heater-on are visible through a transparent cover. Both thermostats use nonmetallic enclosures suitable for harsh industrial environments, providing watertight and dust-tight protection (per IP65). External hardware is constructed from stainless steel.
The TC2 and TC2/XP Plus meet the requirements for use in nonhazardous locations.
