Description

Thermon USX self-regulating heat tracing cables are designed for critical process maintenance at temperatures up to 240°C and freeze protection applications requiring ultra-high temperature ratings. USX allows for the use of ambient sensing controls in applications with continuous exposure temperatures up to 240°C. Utilizing Thermon’s innovative monolithic co-extrusion process, USX pushes the boundaries of self-regulating heat tracing technology for ultimate performance and reliability.

The heat output of USX heat trace cables dynamically adjusts along the entire circuit in response to surrounding conditions. When heat loss increases due to a drop in ambient temperature, the cable amplifies its heat output. Conversely, when heat loss decreases (due to a rise in ambient temperature or product flow), the cable responds by reducing its heat output. USX heat tracing cables are offered with a fluoropolymer (OJ) overjacket, providing enhanced chemical resistance against aggressive organics and corrosives.

Approved for use in both ordinary (nonclassified) and hazardous (classified) areas, USX heat trace cables deliver reliable solutions across a range of applications.
