The Thermon TC1 and TC1/XP Plus mechanical thermostats serve as adjustable control thermostats designed for freeze protection and temperature maintenance applications, specifically tailored for pipewall or tankwall sensing. With three temperature control and bulb exposure ranges, these thermostats offer versatility to meet varying heating requirements.
The TC1 is crafted for wall mounting, with the option for pipe mounting using the separate Thermon XP-1 stainless steel mounting bracket. It features PVC-coated galvanized steel flexible capillary armoring, complete with a capillary gland and insulation entry device.
On the other hand, the TC1/XP Plus variant streamlines installation with an expediter, facilitating direct attachment to the pipe and allowing a single heating cable to enter and connect within the enclosure. Transparent covers provide visibility for indicating lamps, indicating power-on and heater-on status. Both thermostats are housed in nonmetallic enclosures, ensuring durability in harsh industrial environments and providing watertight and dust-tight protection according to IP65 standards. The external hardware is constructed from stainless steel.
Compliant with requirements for nonhazardous locations, the TC1 and TC1/XP Plus thermostats offer a reliable solution for a wide range of industrial heating applications.
