Description

Thermon T-85 functions as a low to medium temperature heat transfer compound, specifically designed for use in moist and corrosive environments. It establishes an efficient thermal bond between the tracer and process equipment. By eliminating air voids, the compound directs heat into the surface being heated through conduction rather than convection and radiation. Utilizing Thermon’s heat transfer compound with a single tracer enhances performance, equivalent to three to five convection (bare) tracers.

Typically employed around valves and equipment, T-85 is suitable for applications with maximum exposure temperatures not exceeding 232°C. The compound is also available in 300 ml cartridges, contributing to reduced installation time and waste.
