Description

Thermon RSX self-regulating heating cables are specifically engineered for freeze protection or maintaining process temperatures in applications up to 65°C. This is particularly relevant when the watt density requirements make the standard BSX trace heating cables unsuitable. RSX heating cables are exceptionally well-suited for use in grease-line flow maintenance systems, where maintaining a pipe temperature of 40°C is crucial to prevent greasy wastewater from clogging pipes due to the cooling and solidification of the grease mixture.

The heat output of RSX heat trace cables dynamically adjusts along the entire circuit in response to surrounding conditions. As the heat loss increases due to a drop in ambient temperature, the cable intensifies its heat output. Conversely, when heat loss decreases, such as with a rise in ambient temperature or product flow, the cable responds by reducing its heat output. RSX heat tracing cables are available with a polyolefin (OJ) overjacket suitable for mild inorganic solutions and a fluoropolymer (FOJ) overjacket for enhanced chemical resistance against aggressive organics and corrosives.

Approved for use in ordinary (nonclassified) areas, hazardous (classified) areas, and Zone 1 and 2 classified areas, RSX heat trace cables offer versatile solutions for diverse environments.
