Description

Thermon NH nonhardening heat transfer compound is employed in situations where the bond of a hardened compound could be compromised by thermal expansion and contraction. Typically used between plate-type heating coils or in systems requiring periodic disassembly, NH remains pliable indefinitely. This flexibility allows the compound to adapt to the changing requirements of the application by expanding and contracting.

Thermon’s heat transfer compounds play a crucial role in establishing an efficient thermal connection between the external heating source and process equipment. The NH compound from Thermon enhances the overall heat transfer coefficient by at least threefold. By eliminating air voids that would normally be present, heat is directed into the surface area primarily through conduction, minimizing the reliance on convection and radiation.

FEATURES

  • Ensures exceptional heat transfer efficiency for systems with significant differential expansion
  • Does not require curing
  • Insoluble in water
  • No need for surface preparation
  • Maintains pliability for easy disassembly
