Description

Thermon’s KS-2 silicone protection sleeve is crafted to shield heating cables from potential harm caused by sharp edges, such as those found on insulation cladding end plates. The grommet can be easily cut to length using a knife or side cutters. With a maximum exposure temperature of 250°C, the KS-2 protection sleeve is engineered to protect heating cables against mechanical damage, particularly from sharp edges on metal cladding. KS-2 is often applied at locations where the heater cable emerges from metal cladding at flanges or from pipes and vessels. The “C” shape profile facilitates easy retrofitting to existing installations and is suitable for both new projects.
