Description

Thermon HeetSheet tank heating units are manufactured using 26-gauge type 304 stainless steel, adhering to ASTM A240 standards. The welded waffle-style pattern is designed to create multiple flow paths, minimizing the risk of blockage that can occur with single-flow designs.

For applications with temperatures up to 190°C, Thermon NH non-hardening heat transfer compound is factory-applied to the HeetSheet unit’s surface that makes contact with the tank wall. This application ensures the elimination of air gaps, optimizing the heat transfer process.

Available in various sizes, HeetSheet units are pre-rolled to conform to the tank’s radius. The inclusion of stainless steel tubing connections allows for the use of steam or other heating/cooling media. Inlet and outlet tubes are connected to ThermoTube pre-insulated supply and return tubing using customer-supplied fittings, with ThermoTube to be ordered separately.

Features

  • Each design relies on established and predictable heat transfer coefficients
  • Thermon heat transfer compounds offer high heat transfer rates
  • Requires only 1/2 to 1/3 the heating surface area of plate-type coils for similar applications
  • Pre-rolled units ensure quick installation
  • Suitable for both heating and cooling applications
  • Eliminates the possibility of cross-contamination between heating media and tank/vessel contents
