Description
Isopad radiant heaters (IRH) are meticulously crafted to serve as a dependable non-contact electric heat source, delivering temperatures of up to 1000°C. Their uniform heat density makes them particularly well-suited for PECVD vacuum coating processes, and they have found widespread application in high-quality settings, such as the manufacture of thin-film solar panels.
At the heart of these heaters is a mineral-insulated (MI) heating cable, skillfully transformed into a hermetically sealed heating element through laser welding technology. The element is then shaped to ensure optimal heat density and affixed to a metallic plate that directs the heat precisely where it is needed.
The lightweight, all-metal construction, coupled with the extended element lengths achievable with MI cables, minimizes the need for vacuum feedthroughs. This, in turn, reduces the likelihood of failure modes in the final assembly. Enhanced reliability is further ensured by incorporating multiple temperature sensors, with the option for fully integrated and vacuum-tested power and sensor feedthroughs.
Isopad offers the flexibility to create customized radiant heaters tailored to specific customer design requirements or to engineer them based on a straightforward design outline.
